Artist Statement

Bonnie Valley: I am a retired art teacher and now enjoy participating in art fairs and art walks. My focus is mostly on wheel thrown, functional ceramic pieces. My work has often been described as whimsical. I also like to use humor with my subjects, which are often animals with sculptured additions to wheel thrown beginnings. Much of my work has original drawings and paintings using underglaze. Almost all of my ceramic pieces are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. My creations also include hand tooled enameled earrings.
